Linguine with White Clam Sauce Recipe

This pasta recipe is so easy to make, and also easy to tweak. I like to add small canned shrimp as well to add a little extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c Margarine
  • 1/3 c Olive oil
  • 3 ea Cloves garlic
  • 3 8oz cans minced clams drained
  • 1 lb Linguine
  • 1/4 ts Basil
  • 1/4 ts Oregano
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/3 c Finely chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Melt margarine in saucepot; add oil; heat
  2. Saute garlic and clams in hot oil mixture over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes
  3. Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper
  4. Simmer 5-10 minutes
  5. Cook linguine according to package directions; drain well
  6. Return to pot; add sauce; toss lightly
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
