Larry Josephs' Lebanese Garlic Paste Recipe

Dipping garlic paste great for any meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bulb of garlic, (12-14 toes peeled)
  • 1/3 cup Lemon juice
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1 c Corn oil

Directions

  1. Using a Braun or similar 200 Watt hand-held blender (smoothie maker), place the ingredients in the smoothie maker CUP. Insert the blender and blend well for approximately 10 to 15 seconds. The Garlic Paste will be so thick, you will have to scrap it out using a spatula.
  2. Once you have scraped the bulk of the paste out add lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, a splash of balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and mint leaves...cover and shake well...and you now have a great salad dressing.
  3. The days of using a traditional blender for making garlic sauce are over!
  4. Enjoy with Baked Kibbee or Shish-Ka-Bob or any other cooked meats.
