Rice Apple Almond Pilaf Recipe

This delicious side dish goes with anything, anytime

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oleo
  • 1/4 cup lightly chopped almonds
  • 2 prunes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 4 slices dried apples chopped
  • 1 1/2 cupw water
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Toast almonds in oleo, add prunes, raisins and apple. Cook one minute.
  2. Add rice, water, honey and salt, stir to mix
  3. Cover and cook slowly about 20 minutes or until rice is done and water is absorbed.
