A wonderful Indian dessert recipe. I think you will find this a great treat for your family too.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups( 1 litre) milk.
  • 1/4 cup sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds.
  • 20 gms pistachio nuts
  • 20 gms slivered almonds

Directions

  1. Place milk in a saucepan an bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, simmer for 40 mins or until milk has a porridge like consistency, stirring frequently. Add sugar, stir over heat unil issolved. Add cardamom, pistachios, almonds. Pour into a greased lamimgton pan and cool. Cut into diamonds shape to serve. It can be server to six to eight people.
