Corn Bread Recipe
Simple to make cornbread. This goes great with a piping hot bowl of chili

Ingredients
- 1 C all-purpose flour
- 1 C yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 C sugar
- 4 t baking powder
- 3/4 t salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 C milk
- 1/4 C shortening
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add eggs, milk and shortening; beat for 1 minute.
- Pour into a greased 9 in. square baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until bread tests done. Makes 9 servings.
