Chinese Sausage Bits Recipe
These Asian-inspired sausage meatballs make a hearty appetizer.

Ingredients
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/2 cup bread cubes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions
- In a bowl, combine sausage, egg and bread cubes. Use a teaspoon to form small balls. Melt butter in frying pan. Cook balls evenly until brown; drain on paper towels. In a saucepan, mix remaining ingredients. Cook slowly for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place balls in a chafing dish; cover with sauce. Serve with wooden picks.
- Yields 20 to 25 appetizers.
