Shrimp Mousse Spread Recipe

This Shrimp Mousse recipe makes a nice seafood dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 medium scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine
  • 1 pound shrimp, cooked and chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup real mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Dissolve tomato soup and cream cheese over a low heat. Remove from heat.
  2. Mix together the gelatine and water. Mix all the ingredients together and put into a mold or pan. Chill for at least 2 hours.
  3. Serve with various types of crackers
  4. NOTE: Do NOT cover with foil. A reaction of the foil and the tomato soup causes holes to form in the foil!
