Original Baked Four-beans Recipe

A version of Boston Baked Beans, made quicker by use of canned beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 can green beans, undrained
  • 1 can kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 can pinto beans, undrained
  • 1 can pork and beans, undrained
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 pound bacon, chopped and browned
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 bottle chili sauce

Directions

  1. Brown bacon, onion and bell pepper. Drain grease. Add all beans AND juices. Bake at 250 degrees F, uncovered, for about 2 or 3 hours.
