Ingredients

• 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 1/2 cups bread flour
• 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
• 3 tablespoons powdered milk
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 package active dry yeast or
•     1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Directions

1. Place all in the bread pan in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Process on the Basic Wheat cycle, Light crust setting.
2. This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
