Chive Muffins Recipe

You can serve these Chive Muffins in place of rolls or biscuits with dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup dried chives
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
  2. Combine egg, milk and butter; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling about two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes or until muffins are lightly browned.
  3. Remove muffins from pans immediately.
  4. Yields 1 dozen.
