John Wills Bar-b-que Bar And Grill Memphis Barbecue Sauce Recipe
barbecue sauce made from scratch for ribs or Memphis BBQ.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup spicy honey mustard
- 1 cup catsup
- 1 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Yields 1 quart.
