Harriet's Coffee Cake Recipe
This is a recipe for a rich, delicious coffee cake.

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c sugar
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c sour cream
- FILLING
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 c chocolate chips
- 1 c chopped walnuts
- 4 tbs brown sugar
Directions
- Grease and flour a loaf pan.Set oven to 350F.
- Cream margarine, sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking soda, baking powder.
- Fold in sour cream.
- Batter is thick and sticky. Put 1/3 of batter into prepared pan,dollop the batter and spread. Pour filling evenly over batter. Put the rest of batter on filling in the same dolloping manner. Use a silicon spatula to spread gently. Spray non-stick onto a piece of parchment and smooth the batter out.
- Bake for one hour.
- Cool 30 minutes in pan.Remove gently from pan, filling will be hot, be careful the two layers don't slide apart. Cool completely before serving.
