Pralines Recipe

Brown Sugary Goodness

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 4 cups of pecans

Directions

  1. Combine the cream and white sugar with the salt in a pan and cook until soft ball stage. Should be bubbling for about 4 to 5 minutes. Just before it reaches soft ball stage put the brown sugar in a heavy pan ( I use cast iron) and melt the sugar. No liquid, just the heat to melt the sugar. Add melted brown sugar to white sugar mixture and throw in pecans and mix well. Drop onto oiled cookie sheet or waxed paper in 2 inch patties. Let cool and enjoy!
