Pesto Cream Sauce Recipe
Outstanding use of cream in a sauce! Be careful, by tweaking the ingredients in this recipe, you can end up with an extremely rich sauce recipe. A favorite use of mine is to pour a heavy drizzle of this sauce over freshly steamed mussels.

Ingredients
- 2 T prepared pesto sauce
- 6 T heavy cream
- 3 T butter (you can sub margarine, but real rich food fans should not)
- 2 T shredded parmesan
Directions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
- Stir in prepared pesto sauce
- Stir in heavy cream and lower stove temperatute to a point where the mixture does not boil.
- Stir in grated parmesan
- Simmer over light heat until reduced to your preferred consistency. I also like to add additional parmesan depending on the intended use.
