Toffee Delight Recipe

Great toffee recipe that works well as a Halloween treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 T. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4-oz. bar milk chocolate
  • 8-oz. pkg. Pecans

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan, adding sugar, corn syrup and water. Insert candy thermometer and cook, stirring often, until mixture reaches hard-crack stage, 300 degrees. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet and cool completely. Melt chocolate bar and spread over top of toffee, then sprinkle with pecans. Chill until hard and break into pieces.
