Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe

A basic oatmeal cookie recipe.

Recipe Ingredients

• 1/2 C Margarine, softened
• 1/2 C Shortening
• 1 C Brown sugar, packed
• 1/2 C Sugar
• 2 Eggs
• 2 T Water
• 2 T Corn syrup
• 2 t Vanilla
• 2 t Cinnamon
• 1/4 t Nutmeg
• 1/8 t Ginger
• 1 1/2 C Flour, unsifted
• 1 t Baking soda
• 1 t Salt
• 3 C Old Fashioned Oats
• 1 C Raisins

Directions

1. Cream margerine, shortening, sugars, eggs, corn syrup, water, and vanilla; beating well
2. Combine flour baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture
3. Beat well; stir in oats and raisins
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet
5. Bake at 350F for 15 min
6. Cool slightly on sheet before removing to cooling racks.
