Suss-Saures Kartoffelgemuse (Sweet-And-Sour Potatoes) Recipe

A wonderful tasting potato salad recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 New Potatoes; Boiled In Skin
  • 1 Medium Onion, Diced
  • 1/4 t Salt
  • 1/4 t Pepper
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 4 Slices Bacon, Cut Up
  • 3/4 c Vinegar

Directions

  1. Peel and cube potatoes
  2. Add diced onion, salt, pepper, and sugar
  3. Reserve in a covered bowl
  4. In a small frypan, fry the bacon until crisp
  5. Add the vinegar to the hot bacon and bring to a boil
  6. Pour immediately over potato mixture, mix well
  7. If too tart, add a little more sugar before serving
