Cherry Cheesecake Recipe

Basic cherry topped cheesecake recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 c Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 3 T Margarine, Melted
  • 24 oz Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 3 ea Large Eggs
  • 1 t Vanilla
  • 21 oz Cherry Pie Filling (1 cn)

Directions

  1. Combine crumbs and margarine; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan
  2. Bake at 325F for 10 minutes
  3. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended
  4. Add eggs, one at a time mixing well after each addition
  5. Blend in vanilla; pour over crust
  6. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes
  7. Reduce oven temperatur to 250F, continue baking 25 to 30 minutes or until set
  8. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan
  9. Chill
  10. Top with pie filling just before serving.
