Grits Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 c Milk
  • 1 c Hominy grits
  • 1/2 c Butter or margarine
  • 1 ea Roll garlic cheese
  • 2 ea Eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c Cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Bring 3-1/2 c milk to boiling in medium saucepan
  2. Gradually stir in grits
  3. Gook over medium heat , stirring constantly, until thick (about 10 minutes)
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Add butter and garlic cheese; stir until melted
  6. Stir in eggs and remaining milk
  7. Pour into 2 quart casserole
  8. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven uncovered for 30 minutes
  9. Sprinkle grated cheese over top
  10. Bake 15 minutes longer
