Crab Macaroni Salad Recipe
This makes a nice luncheon dish when garnished correctly and served with my recipe for cheese toast
Ingredients
- 8 oz. enrished medium shell macaroni
- 1 cup small curd cream style cottage cheese (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 2 tbsp. low-cal creamy French dressing
- 1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion, tops included
- 3/4 cup cooked crabmeat (7 1/2 oz can or 6 oz pkg. frozen can be substituted
- Asparagus spears
- Cherry tomatoes
Directions
- Cook macaroni according to package directions.
- Combine cottage cheese, chili sauce, lemon juice, french dressing, worchestershire sauce, salt, green pepper, green onion and crab meat. Fold in macaroni.
- Chill several hours or over night.
- Served salad with asparagus spears lightly dressed with lemon juice plus garnished with two cherry tomatoes.
- Serve with cheese toast. (See recipe)
