Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 really large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cans( 10 3/4oz) tomatoe puree
- 1 can( 14 1/2oz) stewed tomatoes pureed in the blender
- 2 cans (6oz) tomatoe paste
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- MEATBALLS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 cup finely crushed saltines
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Oregano
- Hot cooked spaghetti
Directions
- In a large pan, saute onion and garlic in oil till tender.
- Add the next seven ingredients: mix well
- Simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hours.
- Meanwhile, combine ground beef and cracker crumbs in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs, garlic Parmesan cheese and oregano. Mix well.
- Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.
- Brown in a skillet.
- Add to sauce and simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hours longer.
- Serve over Hot cooked spaghetti.
