Apple Brandy Butter Recipe

A very simple to make canning recipe. Apple butter with a little special extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 6 c Fresh unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1 tb Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c Calvados
  • 1/2 c Orange blossom honey
  • 1/4 ts Ground cloves

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in heavy saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently
  3. Cook for about 15 minutes, or until mixture begins to thicken
  4. Pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace
  5. Vacuum seal
  6. Makes 6 1/2 pint jars
