Beef Strips and Carrots Recipe

I like the taste that the cream brings to this recipe. A nice combination of carrots, cream, and sirloin.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Carrots
  • 1 c White wine
  • 1/4 ts Sugar
  • 2 tb Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 ts White pepper
  • 1 tb Parsley; chopped
  • 2/3 c Carbonated soda water
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1 lb Sirloin steak
  • 2 Small Onions, diced
  • 1/2 c Heavy cream

Directions

  1. Peel carrots and cut into thin slices (crosswise at a slant)
  2. Place in a saucepan with the soda water, wine, 1/2 t salt and sugar
  3. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until tender
  4. While carrots are simmering, cut the meat into very thin slices
  5. Heat the vegetable oil and saute the onions about 5 minutes
  6. Add the beef slices; cook for 5 minutes, stirring often
  7. Season with 1/2 t salt and 1/4 t pepper
  8. Add the meat and onions to the carrots, mixing carefully
  9. Stir in the cream and hear through... DO NOT BOIL.
  10. Season to taste and sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve
