Bread and Butter Pudding Recipe

Simple to make bread pudding recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 Slices of bread
  • 2 c Warm milk
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • Maple syrup on the side
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F
  2. Butter a deep dish 9 inch pie plate or 9 inch square cake pan
  3. Generously butter one side of bread, but in half to make two triangles
  4. Arrange triangles, buttered side up, in prepared dish
  5. In bowl, beat eggs well mixed
  6. Add milk, sugar and vanilla; beat together
  7. Stir in raisins
  8. Slowly pour over bread making sure all bread is well soaked
  9. Bake 45 minutes or until custard has set
  10. Serve with warm maple syrup.
