Green Bean Salad Recipe

Easy to make salad that is perfect for a spring picnic

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Green beans sliced lengthwise
  • 1/4 c Stock (from the cooked beans)
  • 3 tb Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 ts Dried dillseed
  • 1 boiling salted water
  • 3 tb Vinegar
  • 2 medium Onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 ts Sugar

Directions

  1. Cook beans in boiling salted water until just tender
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and drain off the rest
  3. Prepare sauce by combining vinegar, oil, reserved vegetable stock, onions, dill, and sugar; stir until blended
  4. Pour mixture over beans; marinate several hours before serving.
